Balanchine: The City Center Years

Who was at City Center!?
Miami City Ballet was and we opened Balanchine: The City Center Years with a performance of Serenade.  It was emotional to say the least.
Serenade was Balanchine's first work here in the states.   To me, George Balanchine's has the great ability to encompass emotion and artistry into his steps paired with beauty and a feeling of love.

It was a major festival sharing the stage with NYCB, Mariinksy Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Joffrey Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet.  As a memory to look back on, I will always remember taking our warmup class taught by Wendy Whalen.  A dancer and legend of who I never thought I would have the chance to learn from.  It was certainly a highlight.
